The steam turbine designed and manufactured by BSTG is of the impulse type. The steam parameters cover the whole range normally  used，i.e. from medium pressure , high pressure，superhigh pressure，up to subcritical and supercritical pressure. The output can be from 3MW to 360MW. We made steam turbines for different modes of operation: condensing, dry cooling, with regulated extraction，back pressure or extraction back pressure turbines.

         In 1986 we co-manufactured with ALSTHOM 2 x 330MW condensing steam turbine generators, introducing ALSTHOM’s technology. After the co-manufacture of a number of such units，we developed a 330MW series with output from 300MW to 360MW，with dry cooling，extraction for district heating and of supercritical steam parameters. The features of this 330MW series are the design of high efficient steam flow path，multiple layer thin wall casing，starting from IP module，dispatching of completely assembled HP and IP modules，motor-driven feed-water pumps，vertical HP and LP heaters，etc. Thus it facilitates the erection of equipment and reduces the investment of power plant. Moreover，the T-G unit is not only very efficient to undertake the base load，but also very suitable for two-shift operation and peak load regulation. Up to Sept. 2009 our company have contracted to supply 84 sets of 330MW series steam turbines with total capacity of 27600MW. All the units in operation are highly praised by end users.
