Condens.extract. turbine

They are mainly used in the central co-generation power stations. In winter low pressure steam is extracted from the turbine for district heating. The turbine design is also based on the conventional condensing steam turbine, but with some modification of IP and LP modules. Without steam extraction the maximum electric power will be achieved. However, during steam extraction the electric power will be reduced, varying in accordance with the amount of steam extracted.
Electric output without steam extraction: 100MW to 350MW.
